One of the things that we should teach to our children is the values of green living and what earth is really all about. A parent should educate their kids on how to live a healthy lifestyle to enhance their maturity about the environment.</p>

A garden would be a perfect place to teach your starters on how to plant and grow some plants which is a part of a green living. Give them a small spot or space for them to let them explore and learn how things are done in the garden. Don’t just let them plant vegetables, but let them also plant the things they would like flowers and fruits if possible. It would be a lot more fun if you would take them out shopping for some seeds, teaching them how to plant it properly and checking out once in a while the progress of the plant or even watering the plants. If it’s a flower, your child can see and smell the success of their project. And if it’s a vegetable or a food source, the child will be able to taste the outcome of their effort. With these types of activities, it will enhance your child’s sense of responsibility and dedication to a project which is a step to a healthier and greener lifestyle.</p>
<p>Teaching kids at home is fantastic and fun but it will be more exiting when we take our kids into the wildlife and show them the different kinds of elements in a green environment. We can teach them what food or vegetable to eat especially when you take them to the vegetable farms where we usually get supplies of vegetables. It is important to let them know the vitamins that they can get when we eat specific vegetables that could maintain our body’s resistance. Elaborate each and every vegetable plant that they eat in order for them to absorb the knowledge that besides vegetables are clean, it can give you complete vitamins and will help them grow healthy. Camping also educates children the importance of the green environment. Kids can see different kinds of plants and flowers that bloom into the wilderness. You can take pictures and also pick some flowers that they intend to like. You can bring some small pots and while you are in the camp, you can plant those flowers you picked and transfer it to the pot and let your children take it home with them. In that case, they can learn to appreciate the value and importance of the green things in the surroundings.</p>
<p>The basic steps on teaching kids to live a green and healthy environment are easy when both you and your child enjoy the essence of green living.  The younger the age, the more it is easier to let them absorb the values and importance of green living. Nowadays, the community tends to eat meat and processed foods especially when it is easier to cook. But we can’t take away those green leafy vegetables from our dining tables or we can’t also take those fresh green plants away from our home. So it is very important to always let them remember that the color green will be always important in our daily lives.</p>
